3 years ago. Uverse to my knowledge ( because I have Uverse TV too) doesn't currently offer any channels that broadcast in 4k. To be honest there aren't many that do. I think Directv has a few channels in 4k. If you want to watch 4k on your new TV you will need to subscribe to Netflix or Amazon Prime as they offer lots of movies in 4k.
